The server is having an issue which is causing it to forget it's DNS server settings. If you get an error "Unable to validate useranme" while loging in, please let me know.

Power went out while I was out of town, we're back up now.

I did some testing with turning on Large Biomes today. I enabled it and explored for a while, I found that is creates large "chunk walls" at the borders of explored and unexplored, so I turned it off. Because of this testing I have to do a full re-render of the world map, should be done by tomorrow.

Found that Overviewer stopped updated a while back. A new full render is running and should be done withing 24 hours.

Server is updated to 1.4.4.

Nether map rendering with Overviewer is still not perfect, but I went ahead and enabled auto updating anyway. Please note that both links now link to the same map as I am trying to render all worlds at the same time. There is a drop down menu in the top left to let you select which map you want.

I'm running a full re-render of all the maps. Once it's done and I know I have the setting correct I will enable the schedule to update daily.

I think I have the DSL issue resolved, please let me know if anyone has any issues.

I have the worlds rendered, however they need to be updated manually. Making the updates automatic again is next on my list.

Both the original world and the post 1.4 world (now called 'Main') is up. Please note the addition of a port number for each world. If you've never connected with a port number before, just place :PortNum at the end of the server address in Server Address connection field in MC client. Example minecraft.losfuckers.net:25565

The world maps aren't available yet, but I will have them up soon as well.

I apologize for the delay in getting the server back online, and thank you for your patcience.

EDIT: Spoke to soon. Seems I am having issues with my DSL, I will need to call support tomorrow get this resolved.

Hardware finally arrived on Wednesday. Worked on getting everything put together and working tonight. Next step is to build my virtual host.

Server Status Update:
I received word today that your server host, minehost.org, will be shuting down at the end of August.
I am working on finding a new home for both the current world as well as our old world.
The old server has some OS issues that are proving difficult to resolve, however reset assured no data has been lost. I will post more information when I have it.

New 1.2 world is up and running. I have decided to have someone else host this one as our existing server just wouldn't handle the load. Please note the new URL above

With 1.2 the world format changed, so map updates are on hold until the rendering software is updated to read the new format

World corruption issue due to power outage at Dan's, restored the world back to 1/25 at 16:00 hours.

Map rendering was failing due to corrupt region. Had to restore region -11, -1 back to the 16th.

For anyone who hasn't heard, when 1.2 is released a new biome will be added which will not be compatible with our current Pre-1.0 world. I have decided when 1.2 is released to start a new world. I intend to run the new world and the old world in parallel if the server can handle it.

When the hard drive filled up, some chunks got corrupted which is causing crashes. I am in the process of removing the bad chunks and I hope to be finished with by the end of the day. Server will be back up as soon as I am finished.

[EDIT] Server is back up and nightly map updates are scheduled for 3:00 AM

Map rendering filled up the hard drive, so I have disabled it, but left the map as is. I will get it working again when I have time.

Replaced the SATA RAID controller, seems to be running ok. I will run the server at my house for a few days to see if any other issues pop up.

Issue found, problem was with a bad SATA cable. Server went down sometime after 4:00 AM on 9/4. I have restored the server to midnight that night. Server is still down till I can get it back to Nathan's house.

Found that it was reading the Biome information that was causing the server to crash. Disabled that for now and re-enabled the Overviewer schedule.

Overviewer Map rendering is crashing the server, so they are shut off temporarily. I will fix it when I get back in town.

Made a few changes to the Overviewer maps.
1. The maps use in game colors for for trees grass etc.
EDIT: Running ever hour proved to cause major performance issues. Set back to once a night.

Server has been moved to Nathan's house, hopefully his internet connection is less laggy than mine and game play will be better.
We have found an issue with buildings near the spawn point. If you can't operate the front door, use the back door to get out. teleport you out.

Moved the spawn point to a new area of the map. If you want to stay in the original area, make a bed, otherwise kill yourself to respawn in the new area.

Server is back online and updated to 1.4_01. The world corrupted when the server crashed before I left for vacation. I rolled us back to the last full backup before the crash. 3-21-2011. I have also ordered a new UPS which should alleviate the crashing issues.

Fixed the issue with the maps not generating, and changed to shedule to allow them more time to complete. Day updates at 3:00 AM and night at 6:00 AM

Server is running on new dedicated hardware!
It's taken a while but I finially tracked the issue down to the crappy on-board RAID controller. The server was generating more file IO than the controller could handle.

The Overviewer maps aren't generating, I will fix that later.

Enjoy. Please let me know if game play is better/worse.

Lost power last night sometime around 5:30 AM which corrupted some chunks. I restored the world to 5:00 AM 12/27. Pleast let me know if you see anything missing/incorrect.

Server lost power early Monday morning. Restarting the server it reported file errors in rendering the world, but I ignored them. Today looking at the maps we found that several chuncks where lost. I have rolled the system back to 9:00 Monday 12/13. Maps are re-rendering from scratch to ensure everything is restored.

Server updated to 0.2.5_02, YOU WILL NOW TAKE DAMAGE. Animal spawning is on, monster spawning is still off and just for fun PVP is on.

I updated Overviewer to 0.0.4, which includes some support for grass and tree rendering. I am re-rendering the maps from scratch, which should take about a hour.

Server is updated to the newest code, which includes the bucket fix.
The map rendering with north in the wrong palce is a known issue. https://github.com/brownan/Minecraft-Overviewer/issues#issue/48 Moral: the Author wasn't sure where north was when he started so he just picked a direction.

Fixed the night map, but still don't have any grass for some reason. It's good enough for now. Check it out, I have some caves marked with torches that I found while exploring a while back.
Next project is to get the server running as a service and get the bucket fix installed. Should be done Monday/Tuesday.

There is something wrong with Overviewer. The day maps is rendering without grass, the night map isn't rendering and North is the wrong way. I'll fix it later.

Site: New server website site is setup. Welcome!
World Maps:I have started generating world maps, they will be available by the links above. At this time it is a completely manual (and time consuming) process. Once I figure out the server issues I will get this automated.
Server: The Mark-1 (temporary server) is still running. The Mark-2 3 servers have proven to be complete failures for reasons I simply can't figure out. I am evaluating other options.
